📍House of Loto – Salida, Colorado, USA 🇺🇸
Greetings from the wilderness!
This week's letter is a short one.
As much as I love sitting down to write these reflections, I am also learning to honor the seasons. Right now, my energy is being poured into welcoming summer, supporting the Mothers in Residence, and tending the many community gatherings unfolding here in Salida at the House of Loto over the coming weeks.
Last week, Mother Ara and I spent time in the forest creating new digital content to help tell the story of this place and the vision that continues to unfold here. We were also joined by light painter TJ Legler, who captured something truly magical among the trees. There is something beautiful about artists co-creating—each bringing their unique gifts to illuminate what words alone cannot always express.
This week marks the beginning of a full season of collaborations at the House of Loto.
On Friday, we welcome the Summer Solstice with a forest sound meditation led by Salida local, Alice Smyth, in harmony with the sounds of nature.
On Sunday, we return to the waterfall for Forest Church—our sacred gathering in the forest where we reflect
And under the light of the Strawberry Full Moon, we will gather around the table for ceremonial cacao, meaningful conversation, reflection, and community building across generations of women.
As I write this, I am aware of how much of Loto's work happens quietly, behind the scenes. Meals shared. Altars prepared. Paths cleared. Content created. Spaces held. Friendships deepened. Dreams woven together.
Summer has arrived, and with it comes an invitation to step outside, reconnect with what is alive within us, and remember that healing rarely happens in isolation. It happens in community, around tables, and on forest trails. It happens when we make space for one another. Thank you for being part of this unfolding story. See you in the woods.
With Love,
Jennifer
