📍House of Loto – Salida, Colorado, USA

Greetings from the wilderness!

I wanted to share a small moment from this past weekend that has stayed with me.

On Saturday, Mother Ara, Mother Ileana, and I loaded into the “Beast” and 4-wheeled up to Billings Tunnel at the top of CR240. At roughly 12,000 feet, surrounded by alpine wildflowers and mountain peaks, we turned up the music and danced (pictured).

Three bold women celebrating Life together. As we were taking in the magnificent views, I couldn't help but reflect on what this past month has meant.

As one of Loto's 2026 Healing Artists in Residence, Ara has spent the past several weeks living with me in Salida at the House of Loto, co-creating Forest Church gatherings and a HELD retreat intensive, while weaving her gifts of ritual, creativity, and presence into our community. This Wednesday, she'll leave Colorado to spend time with her brother in New York before returning home to Puerto Vallarta, where our collaboration will continue throughout the year and beyond.

Last Friday, our community gathered in the forest at the House of Loto to welcome the longest day of the year. There is something profoundly healing about slowing down long enough to notice the changing of the seasons—not only in the forest around us, but within ourselves.

Thank you to everyone who joined us, to Alice for sharing her extraordinary gift of sound, and to every person who helped clean up after such a beautiful gathering.

This is what House of Loto is: a place where we remember that growth isn't something we achieve alone, but in community, in rhythm with the Earth, and in the simple act of showing up for our Selves and one another. Here's to a summer of abundance, wonder, and shared joy.

Alice guiding us through mindful movement

Sunday, we gathered beneath the pines and aspens for Forest Church, and it reminded us why creating sacred space in nature matters.

We spend so much of our lives moving quickly, even in beautiful places. Forest Church is an invitation to slow down—to experience the mountains not just as a place to recreate, but as a place to reconnect. Together we walked to the waterfall, shared in contemplative practice, and communed with each other, sipping tea and dancing in the clover field.

If you've been looking for a way to experience the outdoors with greater intention, in community, we'd love to welcome you on July 12th.

Last night, Ara and Jade co-hosted June’s Full Moon Tea Ritual—a beautiful bookend to this season we have shared together.

As the full moon rose overhead, nine women came together to pass ceremonial cacao, sip herbal tea, and make space for honest conversation about the rhythms of our bodies and lives as women. We laughed, reflected, listened deeply, and were reminded that we were never meant to navigate life's seasons alone.

This summer, we're exploring what it means to live more cyclically—to honor our changing seasons rather than resist them. There was something profoundly healing about witnessing women of different generations sharing their stories, wisdom, and questions around one table.

To everyone who joined us in the forest, thank you for being a part of this international tradition. We can't wait to welcome you back for next month's Moon Tea Ritual as we continue this journey together at the House of Loto.

Meet one of our 2026 Healing Artists in Residence, Ara Covarrubias Díaz

Originally from Puerto Vallarta, Mexico, Ara Covarrubias Díaz is a ritualist and creatrix whose work weaves together ceremony, movement, song, and natural alchemy. She has a remarkable gift for creating spaces where people feel safe to soften, be fully seen, and reconnect with the wisdom already living within them. Her presence reminds us that healing doesn't have to be heavy—it can be playful, beautiful, and deeply human.

We're so grateful for the ways she has helped weave this next chapter of Loto into being.

One of the things I love most about what we're collectively creating is that community isn't defined by geography. We gather, we create, we bless one another, and then we carry those relationships back into the places we call home. The weaving continues, no matter where we are.

With Love,

Jennifer
