Welcome, Beloved

Greetings from the wilderness!

You’ve said yes to the call to work with sacred medicines—and I don’t take that lightly. As your host, it’s my honor to hold this container for your transformation.

This page marks the beginning of your sacred descent—into stillness, into embodiment, into holy communion with God, nature, and your truest Self. AWAKEN is more than a retreat—it’s a threshold into the Inner Temple. A place where the Spirit moves not in noise, but in nuance. Not in performance, but in presence.

Here, we practice remembrance. We move slowly. We listen deeply. We make space for the Mystery.

You’re not just welcome here. You belong here. Welcome to the House of Loto.

Return here when you need to reconnect with what you said yes to:
Your body
Your becoming
Your communion with the Divine

Your Portal into the Sacred Rhythm of Retreat

Preparing the Inner Temple

AWAKEN is not something you simply attend.
It’s something you prepare for—mind, soul, and nervous system.

You don’t have to wait until September to begin. This retreat is already unfolding within you. Here's how to begin your sacred preparation:

  • Begin your own stillness practice now
(daily walks, breathwork, or listening to one of Loto’s guided meditations)

  • Journal or reflect on your intention:
What is stirring? What is seeking resurrection in me?

  • Clear the space in your life—emotionally, physically, spiritually
    (Less doing. More being.)

  • Tend to your dreams and sleep
    (Your subconscious is already preparing.)

I will be sending you pre-retreat journal prompts, recorded meditations, and playlist recommendations soon.

AWAKEN takes place on SACRED land at the base of Mt. Shavano near Salida, Colorado.

Check-in begins at 3:00 PM on Sunday, September 7th

Departure by 11:00 AM on Wednesday, Sept 10th

We are not here to fix or force. We are here to witness and be witnessed.

What to Pack

  • You’ll be staying in a private or semi-private king room with shared bathrooms—no sleeping tents required. Think glamping with cozy beds, hot water, and homestyle comforts.

But remember: we’re gathering at 9,200 feet above sea level, under the open sky, by sacred fire, and near flowing streams. Daytime sun can feel warm, but nights get chilly.

    Bring layers.

    Bring softness.

    Bring yourself.

    Clothing Essentials

    • Warm layers (think cozy sweaters, thermal tops, puffer jackets)

    • Comfy clothes for movement and breathwork (yoga pants, joggers, loose tops)

    • Outdoor jacket and fleece for chilly evenings

    • Beanie or warm hat for fire circles

    • Lightweight gloves (optional, but appreciated at night)

    • Comfortable walking shoes or trail sneakers (no hiking boots needed)

    • Easy slip-on shoes or sandals for indoors

    • Optional: scarf or shawl for layering and sacred ceremony

    Comfort + Personal Items

    • Water bottle (hydration is essential at high elevation!)

    • Sunglasses + sun hat (the sun is strong up here)

    • Lip balm + high-SPF sunscreen

    • Moisturizer and lotion (mountain air = dry skin)

    • Any personal toiletries you love

    • Small flashlight or headlamp (for walking to/from fire circles at night, like your phone)

    • Journal + pen (non-negotiable for the inner work)

    • Eye mask and earplugs for sleeping

    • Bug spray

    • Bear bell or spray for hiking solo

    • Headphones for music

    For Fireside Activities

    • Warm blanket or wrap for sitting by the fire

    • Thick socks to keep your feet warm

    For Embodied Practices

    • Yoga mat (a couple are available to borrow if needed)

    For Janzu water healing

    • If you wish to add on a Janzu session to your retreat experience, please bring a swimsuit and a towel

❄️ Reminder: Weather can shift quickly in the mountains. It may be sunny and 70°F during the day, and drop to 35°F at night. Prepare to feel cozy, layered, and held by the elements.

Especially if you are coming into town from sea level, this altitude can take some adjusting to. We have oxygen on-site in case you need it. The regional hospital is only 20 minutes away.

  • This is more than a packing list.
    It’s a spiritual unpacking list.

    Come with:

    • A heart ready to release what no longer serves

    • A body willing to listen

    • A spirit open to mystery

    • Your full, unguarded Self

Leave space in your bag—and your soul—for what God will place in your hands.

    Sacred Considerations

    • An open heart

    • A willingness to release what no longer serves

    • A spirit ready to encounter God in stillness, nature, and breath

  • Not essential, but deliciously nourishing. These are the small comforts that elevate your experience into ritual—tiny altars of self-tending in the sacred stillness.

    • Silk or weighted eye mask (for deep rest or meditation)

    • Face masks (hydrating, cooling, or clay-based—treat yourself)

    • Essential oils (lavender for sleep, peppermint for altitude, frankincense for prayer)

    • A robe or kimono (for morning tea or bedtime rituals)

    • Coloring books and/or art supplies (for creative journaling)

    • Devotional book or poetry (especially mystics or sacred feminine authors)

    • Special journal or handmade notebook

    • Crystals or small altar items (if that’s part of your practice)

    • Sleep aid of choice (magnesium, melatonin, herbal tinctures)

Think of this list as your “personal sanctuary starter kit.”

These items aren’t required—but they are deeply allowed.

Experiential Prayer

A foundation of encounter is at the heart of all of our experiences. There are many levels of communion with the Spirit that can be experienced through the ways we pray- vocal prayer is speaking aloud to God, meditation is reflecting on God, centering prayer is silently consenting to God, and contemplative prayer is about loving God and experiencing Presence within us. All Loto Wellness Collective experiential events are thoughtfully designed to engage guests in spiritual practices that connect our minds, bodies, and souls to the heart of Jesus.
